WHAT PRICE FREEDOM?

As the fallout of the Boston Jihadis permeates our media, Lamestream, New and Social I cannot help but reflect on the things I have seen unfold in so short a span of time.

Dozens of Americans on a day expected to be bright, cheerful and safe have had their bodies shattered by an act of hatred and malice so profound we must hearken back to 9-11 to find anything approaching it.

The now tiresome and expected antics of the MSM trying to link right wing extremists or Tea Partiers to any act of mass murder/violence is of course old hat and even they seemed to just be going trough the motions on kind of a inertia driven autopilot (not that this excuses sheer bias or sloppy, unprofessional reporting) no what really got to me was the lockdown.

Over one million AMERICANS locked down for over a day as Law Enforcement searched for ONE MAN. (not a kid as the Lamestream calls him repeatedly, any more than the young heavily armed men and women we drop into warzones are called kids but are in fact young men and women.)

This IS the legacy of the D.C. Sniper, John Mohammed and his accomplice Lee Boyd Malvo.

Two committed terrorists who murdered at least 10 innocent Americans by shooting them from a tricked out car with a sniper's hide in the trunk.

Not only the world watched them for the 22 days of their sniper campaign as they tied up thousands of police and government agencies and their resources but the Jihadis surely did as well.

After capture the US Government never pursued any actual link Mohammed may have had with Al Qaeda and characterized him as an Anti-American sympathetic to their cause. He was executed by lethal injection in 2009 and Malvo sentenced to life in prison.

Many suspect he may have been recruited or acting in collusion with Al Qaeda. He registered the "Sniper Car" in NYC on September 11th 2002, the one year anniversary of 9-11.

After the Fort Hood shooting by US Army Major and Al Qaeda sympathizer Nidal Hassan who actually shouted "Allahu Akbar" as he murdered thirteen unarmed soldiers or dependants a link between him and Al Qaeda frontman Anwar Al-Awlaki was firmly established.
Infuriatingly the Obama Administration has labeled this act of terror a "workplace shooting" and denied the families involved critical support they would otherwise receive had it been correctly labeled an act of terror.

Al-Awlaki died in September 2011 courtesy of an armed US drone strike in Yemen. Hassan's trial is underway.

The fact the D.C. Sniper case is not being mentioned in Boston's aftermath to me is stunning as the similarities are apparent. I wonder if anyone in the media, new or old will reflect upon Mohammed's actions and ask who radicalized or may have supported him?

One or two committed killers can tie up a city of millions.

We just showed the Al Qaeda that chanted "Obama we are a million Usama's" at the U.S. embassy in Egypt on 9-11 2012 that John Mohammed knew exactly what he was doing by setting that precedent and we just showed the world how successful that can be.

As someone once said about unwed welfare mothers or the homeless, if you want more of something, subsidize it. The media and government reaction with the heavy handed and completely unnecessary lockdown HAS subsidized future acts of terror.

This lockdown and subsequent media blitz, the cost in time and resources are a significant loss to our country. The lockdown was a serious breach of our liberties. Does anyone truly believe this has been lost on our enemies? Two throwaways did this. What could 19 do? We already know.

We have recently learned over 15,000 foreign students let into the country never showed up at their schools.
This is a recipe for catastrophe.

If we do not act NOW and swiftly with absolute Lincoln-esque ruthlessness our coming years are going to be replete with bombings, shootings and the inevitable lockdowns and loss of freedoms, the restriction of us and our natural rights will become commonplace.

A new "normal" will be established that we will be expected to accept and live with as government tramples the very rights of the populace they were empowered to protect in the first place.

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance BUT the will to act when lines are crossed must be present as well.

Sometimes our freedoms come with a very high price. You cannot stop every attack or act of violence by hate driven or irrational people but what you do NOT do is become a destroyer of rights as you profess to act to secure them.

Lets put the legacy of John Mohammed where it belongs.

In the grave with his mouldering corpse..

If we fail, this will become COMMONPLACE
